A Note Before You Read These
Reviews can tell you a lot, and they can also miss the most important thing: whether a particular counsellor is the right fit for you. Star ratings don’t capture the moment a client realizes they’ve been carrying something heavier than they thought, or the relief of finally feeling understood.
Every review on this page came from someone who decided, entirely on their own, to share their experience. We don’t ask clients for reviews. The BC Association of Clinical Counsellors guides Registered Clinical Counsellors not to solicit testimonials from clients or others who may be vulnerable to undue influence, and we take that seriously. The therapy relationship is one where a client may feel an unspoken pressure to say yes, and we’d rather have fewer reviews than create that dynamic.
If you’re trying to decide whether to reach out, the most useful thing isn’t this page. It’s a 20-minute conversation with the counsellor you’re considering, at no cost, to see whether the connection feels right. We offer that for every clinician on our team, and we won’t push you toward someone if the fit isn’t there.
